MK Tech Fringe – Opening Announcement

To start the week, the Programme will open with an Announcement webinar. This is celebrate the start of the MK Tech Fringe. The organisers of each event that is part of the Programme will be invited to attend. The founders will be present to personally thank the event organisers for their support and wish them success with each activity.

The local media will be invited to attend which hopefully will generate some further coverage of MK Tech Fringe programme.

This course is designed for users who either have no knowledge of PowerPoint or have some knowledge and wish to learn more about its features. The course is also suitable for users who would like a refresher of the basics. A general understanding of the personal computer and Windows would be useful.

The aim of this course is to look at all the features of PowerPoint and how to produce memorable slides to help the audience remember what the presenter is delivering. Don’t make do with basic Microsoft templates when you can easily create stunning corporate presentations yourself. This is a practical hands-on course, where you get the opportunity to practice creating stunning slides and not just a bullet point type presentation.

MKAI is joining the fight against COVID-19 by inviting technologists to join a 3-day machine learning hackathon.

*What you need to know*

This is an opportunity to use some of the ML skills you’ve been learning, you don’t need to be an expert – but you do need some software development experience.
Max team size is 10 people – if you don’t have a team, you can still sign up and be allocated to a team
Choose a challenge for your team which uses machine learning to combat covid-19 (examples on kaggle.com)
